This article on restorative narratives was very inspiring. I think Tenore has a great grasp on what the focus of local Journalism should be. Instead of writing articles on the death of millions and how cities or towns are falling apart, they should be writing about what is going to happen next, what are we going to do to fix the problems at hand and show that people everywhere strive to get up when they’re knocked down and become stronger from these terrible situations. She’s right about journalists not having time or that people only want to know about the drama, but I think that if journalists and even publishers were to slow down and focus on the positives, we wouldn’t be considered the ‘Mean World’.
